So I know I've mentioned this before, but just as a reminder: if you are ever in Costa Mesa, CA... you should stop by Captains Helm. Genuine vintage/ rad new & used clothes and shoes and everything for pretty bloody cheap. We're always fully stocked up on crazy sunglasses, old harley patches, motorcycle helmets, and your favorite band t-shirt.

Funny story- so I was browsing Johnnys Bird, and I came across an album titled "ghoul school". I thought it looked like some good visual candy... but then the location started to look pretty familiar. So I kept scrolling down, and all of a sudden.. it clicked! This chick just happens to be prancing around my cousin Zackary's pad/shop on Sunset in LA. made me laugh, then made me realize what a small world it is.

So during the holiday season, I found myself lost in the 'accessories' section at Forever 21 (Lately I've been trying my best to avoid shopping at malls, Forever 21 especially, since I do work at a couple independent boutiques. Support the small guys!). Anyways, I came across this sick headband with a $5.80 price tag. Sorry, couldn't say no. Clearly the quality is wack, and the spikes will soon be falling off, but hello... it was under $10. Can't expect the world right? Anyways, I'm a sucker for cheap thrills.

So I've been experimenting with different shades of lavender/ soft purple lipsticks, and this one- (lavender whip by MAC) has everything I was hoping for + more. Having a very pale complexion, I was questing for a cool based lavender rather than a rose hue. This one works wonders.

Remember this? The 3.1 Phillip Lim jacket that I've probably posted on here a good several times. Well, I finally conned my boy into creating a DIY version of the insanely wicked jacket with his industrial sewing machine... my basic Singer couldn't handle this. Anyways, It was a complete mess at first, and took a good several times (and a good several yards of leopard fabric) but in the end, it turned out like this...

Not bad right? I mean, it's obviously not as bitch'n as the real deal (no offense babe), but it still has a big place in my heart, and the effort he put into it makes it that much more special.
